How does DiSC help people become flexible and accept other styles?
Everything DiSC® focuses on helping people identify their strengths and possible limitations. When people become aware of how they behave, they can choose to adapt their style to meet the needs of the situation. Most people willingly accept the description of their behavior and are eager to practice adapting or stretching their skills to become better leaders and communicators.
I don’t have a Workplace profile. Does the Agile EQ profile include DiSC Styles?
The Agile EQ profile is designed to include DiSC® style references and includes adequate information about DiSC® styles for participants to understand the content. The profile combines DiSC® insights with emotional intelligence development so people discover an agile approach to workplace interactions. It teaches us to how to choose a response when situations are difficult or uncomfortable. It is designed to help a person understand where personal development may be needed, why it is needed and how to apply their EQ to a range of social and emotional situations.
What is Everything DiSC® and Catalyst™ DiSC?
Everything DiSC® and Catalyst™ DiSC are terms that Wiley introduced to provide a path for personalized development. They are the foundation for Everything DiSC personal and professional development. Participants receive personalized insights that deepen their understanding of self and others, making workplace interactions more enjoyable and effective.
How does the Everything DiSC model differ from other providers?
The origins of the DiSC model started with Dr. William Marston and were researched and updated over time. The concept of four styles and emotional responses to their environment is the basis that many providers use. The Everything DiSC® model helps people understand they use all four dimensions in varying degrees, and that there is no preferred behavioral style.
What is the “shelf-life” on the assessment data?
Generally, an individual’s style remains the same, i.e. DiSC®….over time. Using the Everything DiSC® circumplex model, you may notice that the intensity changes at times. This depends on how the individual perceives their environment and situation at the time of completing the assessment.
An example of this is an individual contributor promoted to Supervisor.
If their style is ID, they may shift their style to meet the demands of the role and respond more assertively (D tendency) when needed. Their style is the same, but they now use D tendencies more often to get results at a faster pace.
Is Everything DiSC® right for my organization?
Everything DiSC® helps people understand their behavioral style. This insight leads to better understanding of differences. Once people learn effective ways of communicating with people who have a different style, you are on your way to better communication, collarboration and higher levels of productivity.

What are the legal issues if we use DiSC for hiring?
Wiley does not authorize the sale of Everything DiSC® application suite for use as tools to predict success in employment or in particular job classifications. Employment practices are subject to laws that vary in different locations and which change from time to time. What areas of my organization would benefit most from Everything DiSC?
Everything DiSC® is highly effective for all areas of your organization and particularly beneficial for management, sales, customer service, distribution, procurement, and team building. Programs are customized to meet needed outcomes.
How reliable is the Everything DiSC® assessment over time?
Results of an individual profile provide an accurate snapshot for the “moment-in-time” focus, i.e. management role or individual contributor role. Results will not change significantly unless role or situation changes.
